An Army of Frogs

There are over 5,000 species of frogs that live on every continent except Antarctica. Their ears are connected to their lungs, and each species makes a unique sound. They don’t drink water, they absorb it through their skin, which makes them excellent indicators of environmental health. When frogs swallow prey, they blink, which pushes their eyeballs down on top of their mouth, helping squeeze the food down their throat. Most frogs have teeth in the top of their mouth, and all frogs shed their entire skin weekly and usually eat it. Frogs have smooth, slimy skin. Some have skin so toxic, the slightest touch can kill a human.
